How Ocean Rewards works on GG Network

Ocean Rewards replaced the older Fish Buffet program across GG Network. You earn 100 Tide Points for every $1 of rake, and the Tide Points collected in a calendar year set your level. The count resets on January 1. A level you reach is kept until the end of the following year, and a player who falls short of the threshold drops a level when the new year starts.

There are eight levels: Fish, Shrimp, Crab, Turtle, Octopus, Dolphin, Whale and Shark. Rewards arrive as GEMs, and the number of GEMs per Tide Point grows with your level. GGPoker publishes one threshold as an example: Turtle requires 200,000 Tide Points in a year. In some regions you have to opt in to Ocean Rewards by hand.

Where GGPoker and Natural8 rewards differ

GGPoker states an estimated cashback for each level. These figures are estimates published by GGPoker, and the actual return depends on the GEMs you receive.

• Fish is estimated at ≈16% and Shrimp at ≈25%.
• Crab is estimated at ≈30% and Turtle at ≈40%.
• Octopus is estimated at ≈50% and Dolphin at ≈60%.
• Whale is estimated at ≈70% and Shark at ≈80%.

At GGPoker you swap GEMs for cash whenever you like, at 1,000 GEMs for $1 at the entry rate, with better rates for larger exchanges. Natural8 uses the same levels, Tide Point rate and estimated cashback scale, and it also publishes the Tide Points target and GEM multiplier for each level. Its GEMs are exchanged for prizes rather than cash, and casino play also earns Tide Points there.

Rake caps at GG Network cash tables

GGPoker and Natural8 publish the same 6-max No-Limit Hold'em rake table. The rate is 5% at each listed stake, and the cap for five or more players rises with the blinds, from $$1 at $0.05/$0.10 and $$4 at $0.25/$0.50 to $$6 at $1/$2. Tables with two to four players have lower caps.

Which GG Network room to choose

Your country usually decides it. Players in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden and Ontario play on the local GGPoker site, and players in Ireland and in the rest of Canada use the international GGPoker site.
