ACR Poker rakeback and Elite Benefits in 2026
ACR Poker (Americas Cardroom) pays rakeback through Elite Benefits by default: you earn 5.5 Rank Points for every $1 of rake, and your rank decides how many Combat Points you collect, which you exchange for cash at 100 Combat Points for $1. A flat rakeback deal is the alternative, and an account can be on only one of the two programs.

How rakeback works at Americas Cardroom
Rakeback is the part of the rake a poker room hands back to the players who paid it. ACR Poker, whose full name is Americas Cardroom, runs two rakeback programs that cannot be combined. Every new account starts in Elite Benefits, the VIP program built on ranks and points. The second option is a flat rakeback deal, which you request through support instead of Elite Benefits.
ACR Poker plays on the Winning Poker Network. Elite Benefits counts rake from cash games and fees from tournaments, so a player who splits time between the two formats builds up points from each.
The two point currencies of Elite Benefits
Elite Benefits uses two kinds of points with different jobs. Rank Points measure your volume and move you up the ranks, and you get 5.5 Rank Points for every $1 of rake or tournament fees you pay. Combat Points are the reward currency: you turn them into cash at a rate of 100 Combat Points for $1.
The link between the two is your rank. Each rank has a conversion rate that says how many Combat Points one Rank Point produces. The published rates are as follows.
- Captain earns 1.5 Combat Points per Rank Point.
- Major earns 2 Combat Points per Rank Point.
- Colonel earns 2.5 Combat Points per Rank Point.
- General earns 3.5 Combat Points per Rank Point.
Because the Rank Point rate per dollar stays fixed, a higher rank raises the cash value of the same dollar of rake. Moving from Captain to General more than doubles the Combat Points that each dollar produces.
What do you need for each Elite Benefits rank?
Lieutenant is the starting rank for every account. The next three ranks are set by Rank Points collected in a calendar month, and the top two by Rank Points collected over a year.
- Captain requires 750 Rank Points in a month.
- Major requires 3,000 Rank Points in a month.
- Colonel requires 7,500 Rank Points in a month.
- General requires 100,000 Rank Points in a year.
- 5-Star General requires 1,000,000 Rank Points in a year.
| Level | Rakeback | Requirement | Reward multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lieutenant | 5.5% | 0 points a month | ×1 |
| Captain | 8.25% | 750 points a month | ×1.5 |
| Major | 11% | 3,000 points a month | ×2 |
| Colonel | 13.75% | 7,500 points a month | ×2.5 |
| General | 19.25% | 100,000 points a year | ×3.5 |
| 5-Star General | 27.5% | 1,000,000 points a year | ×5 |
To turn a rank threshold into dollars of rake, divide the number of Rank Points by 5.5. The monthly ranks reset with the calendar, so the rake you need is counted again from the first day of each month.
How to work out your Combat Points from monthly rake
Elite Benefits pays in points, so the cash return depends on your own rake and rank. Say you pay $600 in rake and tournament fees in a month. The calculation runs in three steps.
- Multiply the $600 by 5.5 to get your Rank Points for the month, then check which monthly threshold that total clears.
- Multiply those Rank Points by the conversion rate of the rank you hold, for example 2 at Major or 2.5 at Colonel.
- Divide the Combat Points by 100 to see their cash value in dollars.
The month in which you climb from one rank to the next earns at the lower rate until the threshold is crossed, so a first month at a new rank returns less than a full month at that rank. Once support tells you the flat rate on offer, the rakeback calculator lets you check that deal against these steps.
Switching from Elite Benefits to flat rakeback
ACR Poker lets you leave Elite Benefits for a flat rakeback deal that pays the same share of your rake regardless of volume. The Elite Benefits rules and the support article on switching do not state that share, so the percentage is not officially confirmed and you should ask support for it in writing. The switch is made by writing to ACR Poker support.
- The two programs are mutually exclusive, so you collect either Combat Points or flat rakeback, never both.
- Your Elite Benefits points are reset when you move to flat rakeback.
- You may return from flat rakeback to Elite Benefits one time.
Since a return is allowed only once and points reset on the move, compare the two programs on a few months of your real rake before writing to support. Take the flat rate ACR Poker quotes you, apply it to your monthly rake, and set the result against the Combat Points value your usual rank would produce.
Which ACR Poker program suits your volume?
Elite Benefits rewards consistency within a calendar month. A player who clears the Major threshold of 3,000 Rank Points every month keeps the 2 to 1 conversion, and the Colonel threshold of 7,500 Rank Points asks for well over twice that volume. Anyone chasing General or 5-Star General needs a full year of heavy play, as those ranks count annual Rank Points.
Flat rakeback fits players whose rake jumps around from month to month. A rank-based system punishes a slow month by dropping you to a lower conversion rate, while a flat percentage pays the same share on every dollar. Low-volume players who would sit at Lieutenant or Captain most months also tend to get more from a flat deal.

Can US players join ACR Poker?
ACR Poker accepts players from most US states without holding a license from any state. Its terms exclude these states: WA, KY, DE, LA, MD, MI, MS, NV, and NJ. The account currency is the US dollar, the minimum deposit is $$10, and the cashier takes cryptocurrency, which is covered on the crypto poker rakeback page. You can play in the downloadable client, on mobile or in a browser through the ACR Poker web client.
