How much BetOnline Poker rakeback do you get?

BetOnline Poker rakeback is a weekly cash refund of part of the rake you pay at the poker tables. The share depends on your VIP level, and there are seven levels from Bronze to Black. The lowest two levels both pay 10%, and the rate rises with each level after that.

  • Bronze and Silver pay 10%.
  • Gold pays 12.5%.
  • Platinum pays 15%.
  • Diamond pays 20%.
  • Elite pays 25%.
  • Black pays 30%.

The VIP program is shared across the whole BetOnline account, so the same level applies to poker, the sportsbook and the casino. Your poker rakeback rate is whatever percentage your current level carries in the week the rake is paid.

When and how BetOnline Poker pays rakeback

Rakeback is calculated and credited weekly without any request on your side. The poker week closes on Thursday at 11:59 PM Eastern Time, and the rake you paid up to that cutoff counts toward that week's payment.

  1. BetOnline Poker adds up the rake you paid during the week.
  2. A week with less than $1 of rake does not produce a payment.
  3. Your VIP level percentage is applied to the weekly total.
  4. The amount is rounded down to the nearest $0.10 and credited to your account.

The rounding step matters little for regulars, but at the lowest stakes it trims a few cents from each payment. Players who log only a handful of hands a week can also fall under the $1 minimum and receive nothing for that week.

Example with $400 of monthly rake

Say you pay $400 in rake over a month at BetOnline Poker. At the Bronze level the rate is 10%, so you receive $40 for the month, paid in weekly parts. Over twelve months at that pace the total comes to $480.

A heavier player paying $2,000 in rake per month at the Platinum level gets 15%, or $300 a month. The same $2,000 at the Black level would earn 30%, so for a high-volume account the level matters more than any other part of the deal.

To check another rake figure, multiply it by the rate of your level by hand. The rakeback calculator covers only rooms with a published rake table, and BetOnline Poker has none, so use it to see what those rooms would return on the same rake.

Who gets the most from BetOnline Poker rakeback

A player who already holds a high VIP level from betting on sports or casino games at BetOnline carries that level to the poker tables. For that player the poker rakeback starts at Platinum or above instead of at 10%.

A player who only plays poker and stays at Bronze or Silver gets 10%, which is a flat and predictable return. Because the money arrives in cash each week, there are no points to track and nothing to convert, which suits someone who wants a simple refund on every week of play.

BetOnline Poker also runs a daily cash race for poker players. The race is separate from rakeback, so a place on the leaderboard does not reduce your weekly payment.
